Ripple CEO: Don’t Kill Crypto Bill

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is making a last-minute appeal to U.S. senators to advance the Clarity Act, arguing that the current text contains meaningful concessions made during months of negotiations and that perfection cannot be the enemy of good. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is also pressing lawmakers to move forward with the bill. Polymarket odds of the Clarity Act becoming law surged to roughly 35% on September 14 before dropping back to the high teens as several Democrats indicated they remained dissatisfied with the final compromise. The Senate is expected to vote on cloture Tuesday; failure would not technically kill the bill, but another major delay could substantially reduce the chances of enactment in 2026.
