Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, said crypto has firmly entered the mainstream at a White House crypto summit alongside President Donald Trump and the chairs of the SEC and CFTC. According to the National Cryptocurrency Association’s 2026 State of Crypto Holders Report, more than 67 million Americans now own digital assets, roughly one in four U.S. adults. Crypto is increasingly being used beyond investment for payments, money transfers, financial management, charitable giving and business activities. Female ownership has increased 10% year-over-year, and 90% of holders earn less than $500,000 annually. CFTC Chair Michael Selig said the era of political lawfare and regulation by enforcement is over.
