Fintech Revolut has secured a full banking license for France, jointly approved by France’s Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) and the European Central Bank. This authorization makes France Revolut’s second European banking hub after Lithuania, and serves as the foundation for a dual-hub model enabling gradual expansion into Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. The company has invested over one billion euros in its Western Europe expansion over the past year, adding nearly 8 million new customers in the region to reach approximately 30 million customers total. Revolut plans to open its Western European headquarters in Paris by early 2027.
