Revolut has denied receiving a ransom demand following a data breach affecting approximately 680 customers. The compromised data includes identity documents, contact details, IBANs and Bitcoin transaction histories, exposed in response to a potentially fraudulent government request. The attackers, identifying themselves as ‘iamnotavillain’, reportedly demanded $3 million within 24 hours. Revolut’s core infrastructure was not compromised according to a source familiar with the matter.
