The Ethereum Foundation research team has ranked approximately 62 Ethereum Improvement Proposals for the Hegotá upgrade, expected in 2027. Client teams have until September 10, 2026 to submit their ranked preferences, which will be aggregated ahead of a Reddit AMA on September 16. Ethlabs, an independent R&D lab, published its own tier list on August 16, highlighting three proposals: FOCIL (EIP-7805) for censorship resistance, Quick Slots (EIP-8198) for user experience, and Frame Transactions (EIP-8141) for quantum computing readiness. The final selection is expected to narrow the field from 62 proposals down to a maximum of 15 EIPs, consistent with previous major Ethereum upgrades.
