Polygon Labs announced a new round of layoffs on Thursday as it completes the acquisition of Coinme, a crypto exchange founded in 2014. The company, which is transforming into a blockchain-enabled payments firm, had already cut about 60 employees in January. The acquisition of Coinme and Sequence, a wallet infrastructure firm, represents an investment of approximately 250 million dollars. CEO Marc Boiron targets profitability by 2027 and has promised severance and support for affected employees, some of whom will remain temporarily during the transition period.
