Danish goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, 24, is close to leaving Chelsea for French club RC Strasbourg. He joined Chelsea from Villarreal in July 2024 for £20.7 million. Both Chelsea and Strasbourg are owned by BlueCo, the consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, making this transfer a capital reallocation within the same ownership group’s network of clubs. The Danish goalkeeper is seeking regular playing time, which he has not found at Chelsea behind Robert Sanchez, and Strasbourg can offer him a starting role in Ligue 1.
