Norway has suffered the largest cyberattack ever directed against its online public services, a three-day DDoS offensive claimed by the pro-Russian collective Server Killers. The country’s digital agency Digdir, which manages the identity portal giving access to administrative procedures, was targeted in retaliation for Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre’s announcement of 85 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately $9.2 billion) in aid to Ukraine. The volunteers mobilized for these attacks are recruited on Telegram and paid in Toncoin through NoName057(16)’s DDoSia project. Europol-coordinated operation Eastwood resulted in two arrests, seven arrest warrants, and over one hundred servers taken offline across twelve countries.
