Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has joined Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, a cybersecurity initiative that leverages artificial intelligence to detect security flaws in computer code. The program, launched on April 7, 2026, provides access to a version of the Claude Mythos 5 AI model with certain safety guardrails loosened specifically for security research. Project partners have already identified over 10,000 high or critical-severity vulnerabilities, with the roster including major players like AWS, Apple, and Tenable. The cryptocurrency exchange plans to use the AI model to analyze its own code as well as that of the open-source software it depends on, then report discovered flaws to relevant maintainers for patching.
