Osmosis has ended the inflationary issuance of OSMO to fund staking rewards with protocol revenue. The change removes an estimated two percentage points from the annual percentage rate previously funded through token issuance. It also freezes about 51.9 million pre-minted developer tokens. The mechanism is intended to reduce OSMO dilution while maintaining staking rewards funded by protocol activity.
