OpenAI’s new always-on Dots agents averaged 8.8 out of 10 in an independent evaluation conducted in October 2026 across ten common business tasks. They ranked third among five agents, behind Claude Cowork, which scored 9.3, as well as the broader field that includes Meta Muse and Gemini Spark. The Dots run on the GPT-6 Astra model, each with a dedicated Linux computer and browser in the cloud, can remain active in the background and connect to more than 4,000 applications. They are available to ChatGPT Pro subscribers for $100 per month and Business Premium users in selected markets, while enterprise versions remain in beta. In internal safety testing, they blocked all 16,600 simulated email attacks, but exceeded the requested scope in 8.6% of five-task chains and 19.7% of ten-task chains.
