Ooredoo Group, a Middle Eastern telecom giant, has launched Zankore, billed as Indonesia’s first dedicated AI compute and neocloud platform. The platform aims to reach one gigawatt of AI capacity within three years, with backing from Nvidia and Nokia. The alliance behind Zankore includes Ooredoo Group, its Indonesian subsidiary Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Nvidia, and Nokia. Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison became Southeast Asia’s first telecom operator to commercially deploy AI-RAN technology in 2025. Indonesia, with a population exceeding 270 million and a rapidly digitalizing economy, represents a particularly attractive market for this type of AI infrastructure.
