Oil prices fall to three-week low after Trump calls off planned attack

Oil prices fell to their lowest level in three weeks on Monday as investors hoped for de-escalation after the United States called off a planned attack on Iran. West Texas Intermediate crude fell nearly 6% to $79.75 per barrel, while Brent crude declined almost 5% to $83.71 per barrel. Iran’s foreign ministry denied any ongoing negotiations with Washington. These declines reflect easing geopolitical tensions in energy markets.
