Nvidia has reportedly halted production of the GeForce RTX 5090 to redirect its GB202 silicon toward RTX Pro cards designed for workstations and AI data centers. This information reportedly comes from a factory notice dated October 2026, according to leakers MEGAsizeGPU and hongxing2020. The card launched in January 2025 at a retail price of $1,999, but secondary market prices now exceed $5,000, with some listings reaching $9,500. This surge is driven by strong demand for AI inference, the process of running trained AI models. RTX Pro 6000 cards, which can fetch approximately $15,000, would offer Nvidia significantly higher margins than gaming cards. Nvidia has not confirmed this information.
