Nvidia has secured approximately $12.9 billion in insurance coverage to protect against its expanding commitments in AI infrastructure. The company signed memorandums of understanding with six major asset managers, including Apollo Global Management, BlackRock, and Goldman Sachs, to mobilize over $500 billion in capital for AI compute infrastructure. Nvidia offers residual value guarantees of up to 25 percent on each transaction, creating potential total exposure of $125 billion. The largest single guarantee disclosed amounts to $105 billion, linked to an OpenAI-associated data center in Pike County, Ohio. This insurance coverage has somewhat eased Nvidia’s credit default swap spreads, which had hit a record 82 basis points in July 2026.
