Nvidia commits $2B to Brookfield AI Fund as chipmaker bets big on infrastructure financing

Nvidia has committed $2 billion to the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund, bringing its joint investments with Brookfield to $3 billion. The fund, launched in November 2025 with a $10 billion equity target, aims to deploy up to $100 billion in AI infrastructure by leveraging debt and co-investment structures. In August 2026, Nvidia signed memoranda of understanding with Brookfield and five other financial giants including Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and KKR for independent financing platforms mobilizing over $500 billion in third-party capital. A concrete $1 billion project for expanding Naver’s AI factory infrastructure in South Korea demonstrates how these financing mechanisms translate into actual infrastructure development. Jensen Huang is framing data centers as productive infrastructure comparable to traditional industrial facilities.
