Nvidia CFO Colette Kress predicts that frontier AI labs like OpenAI will become the largest tech companies in history. Nvidia has already booked $500 billion in orders for its Blackwell and Rubin chips through 2026, not including OpenAI collaborations. CEO Jensen Huang estimates that OpenAI alone could represent roughly $600 billion in Nvidia compute resources by 2030, with computing demand of 12 to 16 gigawatts. The company is investing $1.5 billion in SB Energy for OpenAI’s Ohio data center with an initial capacity of 4.25 gigawatts, and is negotiating an investment framework worth up to $100 billion. Nvidia reported $96.2 billion in revenue in Q2 of fiscal year 2027, a 106% year-over-year increase, with $89 billion coming from its Data Center segment.
