Nvidia’s board publicly backed Jensen Huang and his leadership team while launching an independent review into allegations that foreign intelligence targeted the chief executive. A committee of independent directors, supported by outside legal counsel, will assess the claims in light of U.S. national and economic security priorities, although the board said it had no reason to believe that national security or company secrets had been compromised. The investigation follows late-October reports that a close associate of Huang was suspected of being a Chinese intelligence asset, allegations Nvidia has rejected and described as previously debunked. Huang has said he supports the review and will cooperate with it. The issue is particularly sensitive because Nvidia is a leading supplier of AI accelerators at the center of the technology rivalry between the United States and China; its revenue rose from about $27 billion in fiscal 2022 to $216 billion in the latest fiscal year, while its market capitalization exceeded $4 trillion at points in 2026.
