NEAR governance approved proposal HSP-029 to reduce the network’s maximum annual token issuance rate. The ceiling will fall from 2.5% to 1.6% over a 24-month period. The proposal was passed by NEAR’s House of Stake. The change is intended to limit the annual expansion of token supply.
