Morning Minute: Uptober Turns Sour as Crypto Majors Slide

Bitcoin dipped below $81,000 Thursday, Ethereum fell close to $2,400 and the whole top ten posted losses over seven days. Nearly $1 billion in crypto long positions were liquidated in 24 hours, with Ethereum positions hit the hardest. Bitcoin ETFs saw $484.9 million in outflows Wednesday, their worst day since spring, bringing October to a negative balance of $400 million. Ethereum funds have now seen outflows for eight straight sessions, losing $640 million over that stretch. Prices were rebounding over the past 12 hours, with Bitcoin back above $82,000.
