According to a national Ipsos survey conducted for the DeFi Education Fund, 22% of U.S. adults have owned or used crypto, up from 18% in 2025, while usage over the past 12 months remained unchanged at 13%. The increase came almost entirely from users who had abandoned crypto, and only 17% say they are likely to own or use it in the future. Trust remains low for crypto platforms: 4% for centralized exchanges and 5% for decentralized platforms, compared with 42% for large national banks. In addition, only 2% of adults are very familiar with decentralized finance, although 40% would be willing to try it, while interest in learning more is declining.
