MiniMax’s H3 model, released in late July, has climbed to the top spot among open-source video models, surpassing Tencent’s HunyuanVideo-1.5 by approximately 280 points in the Video Arena benchmark. H3 generates video clips up to 15 seconds at 2K resolution with native stereo audio and accepts multiple input types: text, images, video, and audio. Released with open weights, the model was quickly integrated into ComfyUI and optimized via GGUF quantization to run on consumer hardware. HunyuanVideo-1.5, with 8.3 billion parameters, had held the top position in the open-model rankings since its release in November 2025.
