Metaplex has launched MPL-3643, a new token standard designed for permissioned real-world assets and tokenized securities on Solana. This compliance framework, modeled after Ethereum’s ERC-3643, leverages existing Solana infrastructure including the Token-2022 program and the Solana Attestation Service to enforce investor eligibility verification, jurisdictional limits, and lockup periods. The standard is compatible with major Solana trading venues and wallets from launch, including Orca, Raydium, Jupiter, Phantom, and Solflare. Currently in a limited-access alpha phase, the framework aims to provide regulatory compliance without compromising Solana’s composability and speed characteristics.
