Meta will launch its Project Phoenix mixed reality glasses in the first half of 2027 at $1,299.99. These glasses weighing under 110 grams use a tethered external compute puck to achieve this lightweight profile, with a field of view of approximately 88 to 91 degrees. The price is more than two and a half times the Quest 3 ($499.99), but remains under one-third of the Apple Vision Pro ($3,499). Meta’s Reality Labs division has invested tens of billions of dollars since acquiring Oculus in 2014. The original late 2026 timeline was pushed back to refine the device before commercial release.
