Meta is scheduled to report second-quarter results after the close of markets on Wednesday. Analysts expect adjusted earnings per share of $7.22 and revenue of $60.17 billion, representing 26% growth from $47.52 billion a year ago. The company is heavily investing in artificial intelligence following the hiring of Alexandr Wang in June 2025 involving a $14.3 billion investment in Scale AI, with projected capital expenditures of $136.7 billion for the year. Meta also announced a $14 billion data center project in El Paso, Texas with BlackRock, along with $50 billion projects in Louisiana and $9 billion in Canada. Meta shares have declined 10% year-to-date as investors question the returns on these massive investments. The Reality Labs division is expected to post a loss of $5.07 billion on revenue of $423.4 million.
