Microsoft shares rise over 3% as Azure tops $100B in annual revenue

Microsoft shares rose more than 3% on Wednesday after hours and as much as 4% following results, after the company reported $90 billion in quarterly revenue, up 18% year over year and above Wall Street expectations of roughly $87.7 billion. Azure revenue grew 43% and surpassed $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time, while Microsoft Cloud revenue increased 27% to $59.3 billion. Net income rose 31% to $35.8 billion and capital expenditures more than doubled to $115.9 billion for the full year.
