Mercado Bitcoin now allows its 4.5 million clients in Brazil to send and receive SUI, USDC and USDsui through the Sui network. The exchange becomes the first Brazilian platform to offer Sui transfers, while the USDsui stablecoin can immediately be used as collateral in its lending products. The integration is part of a collaboration with Mysten Labs and the Sui Foundation aimed at expanding decentralized finance on Sui in Brazil. The exchange plans to integrate Hashi to offer native Bitcoin lending and borrowing after its mainnet launch. It also intends to migrate its regulated tokenized real-world asset platform to Sui, with more than 800 assets issued since 2019, and connect it to the PIX instant payment system.
