Pi Network’s Core Team officially implemented a major change to its AI-powered App Studio pricing structure on August 24, ending heavy subsidies for app creation and editing costs. Previously, developers paid just 0.25 PI to generate an app and another 0.25 PI to edit it, prices that did not reflect actual costs. The new model will now charge fees that more closely reflect the underlying AI service costs, with amounts varying based on resources consumed. An exception applies to applications attracting sufficient real users, which can continue paying the old subsidized rates. Pi Network’s native PI token is currently fighting for the $0.09 level, even as Bitcoin and most altcoins surged by double digits over the past week.
