Luxor Technology raises $16M to push deeper into AI compute

Luxor Technology closed a $16 million strategic funding round led by CMT Digital, the venture arm of Chicago-based CMT Group. Bitcoin mining hardware makers Canaan and MicroBT also joined the round, alongside Halo, Steelhead and a group of angel investors. The funds will go to Tenki Cloud, an agentic cloud platform designed for autonomous AI agents, Luxor’s AI hardware brokerage and its compute-derivatives desk. This expansion builds on the launch of Luxor AI on September 24, 2026, following the brokerage of more than $1 billion in ASIC hardware and the addition of GPUs to its trading operations in December 2025. Luxor continues operating a Bitcoin mining pool that recently recorded a hashrate of approximately 43.7 EH, and the funding round includes no token launch or new crypto offering.
