Chainlink (LINK) rose about 24% between September 1 and October 6, climbing from $11.228 to approximately $13.959. However, this price increase was not matched by meaningful growth in new wallets: Santiment reports an average of 1,249 new addresses per day over the four weeks ending October 6, versus 1,225 over the comparable period ending September 1, an increase of less than 2%, compared with 33% for Solana. The rally came amid major ecosystem announcements, including the launch of CCIP 2.0 on September 28, a significant upgrade to Chainlink’s cross-chain infrastructure. On September 28, LINK surged 10.15% to close around $15.45, having reached an intraday high of $15.77. Santiment cautions, however, that the CCIP 2.0 announcement cannot be said to have directly caused the price rise.
