Lido opens larger Ethereum validators with a 32 ETH operator bond

Share

Lido activated the 0x02 Community Staking Module (CSM) on October 23, allowing independent operators to run Ethereum validators with effective balances of up to 2,048 ETH. Each operator must bond 32 ETH for its first key and 30 ETH for every additional key, while Lido separately supplies the validator’s initial stake. The module’s launch targets roughly 32 seed deposits under a limit of 0.01% of the total value locked in Lido Core, with further capacity increases dependent on protocol inflows. Lido estimates the required capital at 2.18 times that of solo staking for a first validator, rising toward 2.26 as more keys are added, provided their effective balances reach 2,048 ETH.
