KuCoin has secured the ISO 22301:2019 certification for its Business Continuity Management Systems, announced on August 11. This international standard confirms that an independent auditor has verified the exchange’s documented plans and processes to maintain critical services during disruptions such as cyberattacks or infrastructure failures. CEO BC Wong emphasized that operational resilience is now considered equally critical as security measures in the digital asset sector. KuCoin serves over 45 million users across more than 200 countries with access to over 1,500 digital assets, while strengthening its compliance amid growing regulatory pressure, including the EU’s MiCA regulation and DORA, as well as guidance from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
