Koch Real Estate Investments is putting Edged, its data center development venture, up for sale in a deal that could value the company at approximately $15 billion. Co-founded with entrepreneur Jakob Carnemark, Edged builds ultra-efficient facilities for the largest hyperscale cloud providers. The company has raised nearly $2 billion in financing throughout 2026, including a $1.3 billion senior secured notes offering completed in April. Edged’s portfolio includes a 168 MW campus in Atlanta and a 96 MW facility near Chicago, with total capacity exceeding 300 MW. The company uses a proprietary ThermalWorks closed-loop cooling system, achieving a Power Usage Effectiveness rating of 1.15, significantly better than the industry average of 1.3 to 1.6.
