Karin Rådström, CEO of Daimler Truck, became the second woman to lead a DAX 40 company in 2024. Since her appointment, the company’s share price has risen nearly 40% from €33.15 to €46.24, while zero-emissions vehicle sales surged 67% in 2025. Chinese manufacturers currently hold 1.36% of the European commercial-vehicle market, but their growing presence represents an increasing threat to European makers. Daimler Truck aims to double defense-related revenues to €1 billion by 2028 and is developing Level 4 autonomous trucks for the U.S. market by 2027.
