Kamino, a Solana-based lending protocol, concluded on October 20, 2026 a security review of Chainlink’s CCIP, finding it robust enough to underwrite cross-chain collateral risk. Assets transferred via CCIP can now qualify for higher supply caps and improved loan-to-value ratios on Kamino. This validation coincides with Chainlink’s CCIP 2.0 upgrade, launched in late September 2026, which allows asset issuers to add their own verification steps to the standard security model powered by 16 decentralized node operators. For Kamino users, the direct benefit is improved capital efficiency, with higher LTVs translating into greater borrowing power per dollar deposited.
