John Waldron, currently COO and President of Goldman Sachs, is set to succeed David Solomon as CEO of the investment bank, potentially as soon as next year. In the first half of 2026 alone, Goldman advised on more than $1 trillion in M&A deals and generated over $12 billion in equities revenue.
