SBI Holdings, the Japanese financial giant, states that its stake in Ripple remains worth approximately 6.6 trillion yen (about $45 billion), despite the recent decline in XRP’s price. Director Yasuo Nishikawa explained that XRP’s weakness appeared to be linked to uncertainty surrounding the U.S. CLARITY Act, legislation that has not yet been passed. SBI reported record first-quarter results with earnings of 148.1 billion yen, nearly 2.5 times higher than a year earlier, including 119.9 billion yen from its private equity division (+328%). The company also confirmed its plan to acquire cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank in August and expects to serve approximately 3 million customer accounts with 870 billion yen in assets under custody.
