IREN has delivered the first of four planned AI cloud deployments to Microsoft under a $9.7 billion deal. The company is targeting 480 megawatts of AI cloud capacity in 2026 and 1.2 gigawatts by 2027. This deployment is part of IREN’s strategy to move away from bitcoin mining. The two companies are strengthening their collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence.
