Iraq seized 15 drone launch platforms and dismissed a provincial commander after drones launched from its territory struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline in early September 2026. The 1,200-kilometer pipeline, handling roughly 4-5% of global oil supply, was temporarily shut down by Riyadh.
