Ionic Digital, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker IOND, is facing possible activist pressure for board representation. The company, formed in January 2024 from the Celsius Network bankruptcy proceedings, generates over 90% of its revenue from a single lease agreement with Nscale, a London-based AI infrastructure firm, covering its 234 MW site in Texas. This 126-month lease, signed in October 2025, is expected to generate between $1.9 billion and $2.6 billion, with Nvidia guaranteeing the first five years. Hedge fund Sachem Head Capital Management, holding approximately 9.9% of the shares, has set a price target of $151, versus a current trading price around $63. Shareholders should watch whether an activist formally nominates directors, how the board responds given the May 2025 court ruling, and whether Ionic announces further sales of its legacy mining assets.
