Injective has signed a strategic partnership with BDACS, a South Korean digital asset custodian, to integrate the KRW1 stablecoin backed by the South Korean won into its network. The token is fully backed by funds held in escrow at Woori Bank, with real-time verification through banking APIs. As of October 20, 2026, the on-chain supply stood at approximately 13.67 million KRW, with total holdings estimated at 142 million KRW. This integration enables Korean institutions to settle transactions on-chain without foreign exchange exposure, while linking traditional fiat rails with Injective’s blockchain infrastructure designed for institutional users. Adoption remains at an early stage and growth will depend on whether trading venues and real-world asset issuers choose to price and settle in won.
