Injective confirmed on October 12, 2026, that development of quantum-resistant infrastructure is now underway. Mid-2026 evaluations gave the project a score of 4 out of 100 on quantum readiness, rating it “Unaware” regarding quantum risk. Two components were identified as the main weak points: secp256k1 for signatures and Ed25519 for consensus. A rewritten whitepaper released on October 7 made no mention of post-quantum migration plans, contradicting the announcement made the very next day. Injective has yet to share technical specifications, a deployment timeline, or a governance proposal for the changes.
