‘I’ll never apologize’ — Trump brushes off Iran war’s impact on oil prices and calls aircraft carrier’s 240+ days at sea ‘not nearly long enough’

The war, initially promised to last weeks, is now over five months old. Several Democratic lawmakers, including Senators Richard Blumenthal and Ruben Gallego, are demanding a Pentagon briefing on conditions aboard the ship, including food inventory, sanitation, and healthcare availability. Trump said he would never apologize for the war’s impact on oil prices, calling his action the right decision. Another aircraft carrier, the USS George Washington, is expected to replace the Lincoln as the U.S. maintains a blockade on Iranian ports in the crucial Strait of Hormuz.
