IBM Digital Asset Haven, an institutional digital asset platform launched on October 27, 2025, can now directly connect to Swift’s blockchain-based shared ledger, operational since July 9, 2026. This integration enables banking clients to initiate tokenized deposit transactions across both platforms, combining IBM’s multi-chain wallet infrastructure with Swift’s tokenized deposit system for the global banking network. Seventeen banks are participating in Swift’s ledger pilot, which was validated in September 2026 when three major Singapore banks, DBS, OCBC, and UOB, executed the first real domestic SGD tokenized deposit transactions. Tokenized deposits on Swift’s ledger represent bank liabilities and move in real time on blockchain rails, though final settlement still occurs through traditional payment systems.
