Hyperliquid’s HYPE token surged more than 15%, trading above $93, after ICE, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, announced a partnership with Trade[XYZ]. The deal would create a regulated US market for perpetual futures using Hyperliquid’s technology, offering traders 24/7 access. ICE would operate the exchange and handle clearing, while Trade[XYZ] would design markets covering equities, equity indices, commodities, and foreign exchange. The launch remains subject to Commodity Futures Trading Commission approval, which issued no-action relief in May 2026 that opened a path for regulated perpetual futures trading in the United States. Markets operated by Trade[XYZ] on Hyperliquid technology have generated more than $650 billion in trading volume in just over a year.
