Hyperliquid eyes US expansion amid regulatory hurdles

Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual futures exchange, is planning to expand into the United States despite ongoing regulatory challenges. The platform currently blocks U.S. users from its front-end due to compliance issues, but is seeking a path to offer on-chain derivatives in the American market. Established players like CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange have urged U.S. regulators to impose stricter controls on Hyperliquid. The exchange’s policy arm has engaged in discussions with U.S. regulators, including a recent meeting with the SEC’s Crypto Task Force. Market pricing gives a 13.5% probability to Hyperliquid reaching $100 by the end of 2026.
