The 83-year-old former president was diagnosed in May 2025 with an aggressive form of prostate cancer and subsequently underwent hormone treatment and radiation therapy. Hunter Biden described his father’s condition as very painful and debilitating, while noting he remains active. In December 2024, the former president granted Hunter a sweeping pardon covering his convictions on federal gun and tax charges.
