HPE unveils four ProLiant Gen13 servers built on AMD’s EPYC Venice chips

Hewlett Packard Enterprise unveiled on October 7, 2026, four ProLiant Gen13 servers powered by AMD’s 6th generation EPYC Venice processors. The lineup supports up to 256 cores per socket with 600W TDP, DDR5 memory up to 8,000 MT/s across 16 channels, and PCIe 6.0 connectivity. The four models target different workloads: the DL525 for CPU-based AI inference, the DL585a for accelerator-optimized tasks with up to eight GPUs, and the XD245 and XD285 for HPC and AI with advanced cooling. The servers include post-quantum cryptography readiness for quantum-resistant security.
