Gen Z now accounts for 40% of North American movie audiences and represented 49% of « Spider-Man »‘s opening-day attendance. Over 50% of the billion-dollar films’ box office revenue comes from international markets. Premium large format tickets (Imax, Dolby Cinema) now represent 16% of domestic ticket sales, up from 13.8% in 2023, with standard tickets averaging $13.50, compared to just over $9 in 2019.
