GTA 6’s launch trailer, released on Thursday, briefly featured Dacity Coin, causing a Solana meme coin of the same name to soar 2,900%, with its market capitalization jumping from $104,000 to $3.18 million in just one hour. The token had already existed for five days, created after a hacker leaked footage showing Dacity Coin in the game. Twenty-four traders profited more than $10,000 each, with the top trader turning $1,912 into $44,000. The Dacity Coin, which appears to satirize the extreme promotional stunts performed by meme coin creators over the years, has since dropped roughly 53% from its peak to around $1.5 million market cap. Rockstar has yet to comment on the token.
